Resizing Images in Photoshop

Step One

Once you have the photo/image open that you want to resize, go to Image > Image size…

Step Two


Image size Properties Box. It’s very recommended that you leave your width and height numerals LINKED.

Make sure your "Constrain Proportions" box is checked.
This automatically proportionates your photo, so that it doesn’t resize like this:

Scale Styles: Resizes Layer styles to new size.

Resample Image: Leave as is.
Document Size: You can choose to resize your canvas by this, mainly used for print.

Once everything is the way you need it to be, click OK.

Congratulations! You now know how to resize an image!
